We went to Pak Hailam Kopitiam at Kepong yesterday for teatime. Actually we were looking for Kei Tak Sek, which is quite famous in Kepong, but we couldn’t find it. We ended up having our meals at this shop. From the physical appearance, it looks similar to Old Town White Coffee Café. The environment is relaxing and very peaceful. The shop is located just next to the King’s Confectionary on Lorong Bangau 2, Kepong Baru, KL. If you are going there for coffee, you can also bring along your laptop, because Wi-Fi facility is provided. The nasi lemak sambal sotong and the Cham (Tea+Coffee) are delicious. I think there is no other outlet anywhere yet in KL or Selangor areas.
At night, we went to Shabu Shabu at Section 2, Wangsa Maju, Setapak with our friends. It was 3 guys and 2 girls on the table. We ordered seafood, pork, chicken and fish sets. You can choose your own soup based on your taste and preference. The soup comes in 3 flavours: Tom Yum, Herbs and chicken soup. The price ranges from RM15.90-RM18.90 for the sets.
After we paid for the bill, the waiter there gave me and my friend 2 stalks of Carnation as Mother’s Day gift! My cousin sister also presented me this ‘Butterfly’ balloon, according to her, as Mother’s Day gift. But it somehow looks like a Dragonfly to me.
